Founded by Rohit Kumar, Harvard Kennedy School and Aparajita Bharti Oxford University, Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) goes beyond conventional modes of learning in giving participants hands on experience of working with different Members of Parliament (MPs) and being active agents of change.

The Policy in Action Program is a project-based four week engagement for university students and young professionals who are keen to explore the fields of public policy and development.

The program is designed to deliver core skills in public leadership, policy analysis and advocacy campaign design, with the experience of working on a live project for a Member of Parliament.

With a mix of weekend sessions and remote collaboration with peers, the program schedule is easy to accommodate along with regular university and work commitments.

First Edition: 2016

The first edition of the Policy in Action Program was conducted in September – October, 2016 in Delhi.

55 students were selected from over 400 applicants.

The 2017 edition of the Delhi Policy in Action Program is now being kicked off. It is scheduled to begin on the 12th August and end on the 10th September.
