First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Just like all law firms, it has a touch of legal ambiance. There is this huge walk in closet type library which is my favorite part of the firm.
Coming to the 1st impression and formalities, my mentor introduced me to the fellow partners, associates, and the office staff.
I was given the task of getting used to the office and it’s layout to enable me to work efficiently in the future.
I was mostly given researching job and I also learnt to file affidavit and counter affidavit.
Apart from these I need to go through writs files by them and note down the main points favoring both the parties to the case.
To sum it up it is useful to all those law students from non law background like me.
Work environment and people
The firm all together gave good vibes to me.
All of them work there without any scowls and the best part is that the only service they provide free is sarcasm.
Whenever the associates and partners are free they will call me and start discussing about some random cases.
They won’t stop there they will ask for our opinion too and the best of all.
Kind attention to all the foodies out there, they provide yummy food and it’s pure veg.
Even though I didn’t get stipend, the knowledge gained supersedes everything. Though I wouldn’t have returned the money if they gave it to me. 😛
They introduced me to the field of arbitration and now I’m very attracted to it that I’m planning to pursue masters in arbitration.
Since I’m from Chennai there is no need for it but for those who aren’t from Chennai, you guys need not worry because there are so many pgs and lodges in and around T Nagar.
They aren’t strict about the timing. Infact they leave it to the interns to chose timing as per their comfort.
Since I had college during that period, I used to go there after college hours and work there for 3 hours or so.
