Faculty and Academics at SOEL, Chennai

The class hours is just 4 hours with an half an hour break in between.

There is a shortage of faculty as of now, so mostly guest lecturers.

The evaluation methodology is a bit harsh.

Student Culture and Activities

MCA is good and the college has placed many prizes is International as well as national moot court competitions.

The important aspect of our college is having a NCC unit which is a great privilege.

We also organize sports meet and cultural meet annually.

Location

The college is in the heart of the city. Many IT parks malls theaters etc. are nearby.

Most important among them are marina beach, bessi beach, sathyamcinemas, phoenix market city, citi centre, mylapore temple, snathome church, tidel park etc.

Placements at SOEL Chennai

The college have a placement cell, where many firms have a tie up, so the recruitment is easy and many students are placed.

Administration and Fees

The administration is good.

The fees is nominal like of government colleges.

Good things

The best thing is the college timing.

Second best thing is we have NCC.

Bad things

The canteen and playground.

Tell us about the infrastructure of your college

There is a separate hostel for girls but for boys you have to make own.

The classrooms of SOEL are air conditioned with smart classrooms.

There is a good library with numerous collection of books which will be lended if you have membership, but most of the books are old edition.

Mess is not in good shape and the food served is just expensive.
