Application Procedure

I was placed here through my college internship cell but one can forward his/her CV to

I reside in NCR so I used to go through the metro but one can easily get the PG’s at Laxmi nagar or Mayur vihar which is nearby the court and that too with affordable cost.

09:30 to 06;00 , Monday to Friday.

Lunch is from 01:30 to 2:00 pm. In the lunch timings interns can hangout to canteens & Dhabas nearby the office. Sometimes we used to have lunch along with our sir discussing about the new legal trend and all.

First Day Impressions & Formalities

On the first day of internship I was little bit nervous but soon got over with it, when one of the junior of our sir made us involved with the day’s schedule.

I was told to read the case study of one ongoing case and then to come to court room number 121 for viewing the hearing of the same case after half an hour in the court.

Every official person is quite chilled and specially everyone greets you very nicely.

Main Tasks

The main task was basically research work on the various topics of corporate, civil as well as criminal. I was also given the work on Power point, Ms Excel and Ms Word.

During my internship, I used to practice in criminal cases, civil cases, matrimonial cases as well as recovery cases.

So different types of work are assigned and be strict to the time assigned to the work.

Work Environment

The environment of the chamber where interns used to sit are very good and supportive. The office boy used to provide refreshment from time to time.

The interns can also chill from time to time as the absence of associates. The indiscipline is highly intolerable. Sometimes our sir used to tell us the real practicality of this professional field. He even use to clear our basic concepts of legal terms.

We were asked to prepare our dairy of everyday cases which has the hearing in the court and to be prepared about the related case beforehand.

We mostly used to have our lunch together in the chamber between 1.00 p.m to 1:30 p.m. We were also used to be taken to the high court and supreme court along with the  juniors for the related cases.

The Best & the Bad Things

The best thing is definitely to acquire and understand the real practical legal world outside our classrooms because I got the chance to to be the part of court room hearings.

There is a lot of things to learn if one is very much interested to learn from the associates. Sometimes they used to send us to the court room for taking the dates for case.

The interns can also have more fun as there is absence of associate in the intern’s office.

On the contrary part it sometimes feels tiring to just follow and match the fast steps of our advocates from one court room to another.

There were few days when you just have to sit in the chamber reading number of case studies which sometimes are not readable.

Issue of Certificate

We were issued the certificate on the very last day of our internship.

This entry has been submitted for the LexisNexis-Lawctopus Internship Experience Writing Competition 2015-2016. iPleaders is the learning partner for this competition.
