First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First day was a bit confusing as we hadn’t met Sir yet. We were also new to the high court building so it took us a while to figure out where exactly do we have to go.
But after a few days we got used to it. And the infrastructure of the office was very modern and good to work in.
Main tasks included reading the case files of the cases schedule for the day after and then go to the court next morning and try to observe as much as we can in that particular case.
The court gets closed by 5 so after that we used to go to the office and discuss what we understood from the court proceedings and then we were allotted research work as well as were asked to draft certain appeals at times.
Work environment and people
Our office had a very friendly environment to work in but we always followed the code of conduct.
I had other interns working with me as well so we used to have fun while learning. But we always had to maintain the decorum when the senior partner of our firm was around us.
Half day on Saturdays
Personal involvement while learning
I got to learn a lot from these days of my internship. I got to understand how things actually work in real world.
We could study for months and gain knowledge but that knowledge is of no use if we don’t have enough practical knowledge as well.
Any Other Thing
There were no such bad things in the office but the bad experience of my internship was my PG food. The owner served horrible food so I had to eat out daily.
I used to stay in a flat as a paying guest with 9 other girls in the city itself.
