While India has, over the last few decades, made considerable progress in ensuring child survival and basic education, much remains to be done and deliberated upon with respect and promotion of child rights.
The Indian Constitution has a framework within which ample provisions exists for the protection, development and welfare for children.
There are a wide range of laws that guarantee children their rights and entitlement as provided in the Constitution and in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child.
The Training Programme shall provide a useful platform for the Students, Research Scholars, Academicians, Advocates, and Officials from various departments, NGOs, Policy Makers, Child Rights Activists, and others to understand the challenges in protecting the rights of the children.
