The Centre for Environment and Law of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, one of the premier national law schools in India is organising its first Model United Nations Conference.
The agendas for this year are:
Environmental Refugees – Rights of people of submerging lands.
Balancing energy requirements and environmental concerns – Concrete step towards sustainable development.
The conference will see a simulation of General Assembly, which is the main deliberative, policy making, and representative organ of the United Nations. Comprising all 193 members of the UN, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of International Issues covered by the Charter. The number of countries will be restricted to 80 for this year’s edition.
The conference will take place on 14th and 15th of March. And prizes worth Rs. 18,000 are to be won.
