NLU Delhi’s Winter School on Privacy, Surveillance and Data Protection [Jan 19-23]; Apply by Dec 14
The Centre for Communication Governance (CCG) in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair on Freedom of Communication and Information at the University of Hamburg and the Hans Bredow Institut is conducting a week-long winter school on ‘Privacy, Surveillance and Data Protection’ at National Law University, Delhi from 19th to 23rd January, 2015.
The winter school will focus on the law governing privacy in the EU and in India, and cover issues ranging from surveillance to data protection. German and Indian members of faculty will use interactive methods of teaching and group activities in each session, to help the students from Germany, India and Israel contribute to the classroom and learn from each other.
Students will be expected to read, complete regular assignments, make a presentation on their choice of topic and in general contribute proactively to the school’s agenda.
Procedure for Application
Applications are invited from current III, IV & V year students of the V Year- LL.B. Programme to participate in the Winter School.
Interested applicants are required to send the following information and materials by 14th December, 2014 at sarvjeet.singh@nludelhi.ac.in and mark a copy to ccg@nludelhi.ac.in
1. Curriculum vitae.
2. Names of two referees. Referees must be informed that they might be contacted by the Centre either for an oral or written reference.
3. One referenced writing sample of 700-1000 words on the relevance of Right to Privacy in India.
