It gives us great pleasure to announce that the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in association with Trilegal, will be organising the XI Edition of the National Law School – Trilegal International Arbitration Moot (NLSTIAM) from 17th to 20th May, 2018.
In its XI Edition now, NLSTIAM has acquired a prominent place in the International Moot Calendar and attracts participants from all over India and the world. NLSTIAM provides the teams with the unique opportunity of arguing before a simulated arbitral tribunal comprising of leading practitioners and industry experts, and develop a deeper understanding of arbitration.
Through this moot, we aim at simulating the use of arbitration to resolve international commercial and investment disputes.
The X edition of the moot was a resounding success with exceptional teams from around the world competing for the coveted trophy.
You can catch glimpses of the Grand Finals and the valedictory Ceremony of X NLSTIAM here.
This year’s event, with Trilegal as our title sponsor, is being organized in association with Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and Thomson Reuters.
The winners and the best speaker will receive internship offers at the SIAC Secretariat in Singapore. Additionally, Thomson Reuters will be providing all the registered teams with access to their comprehensive International Commercial Database to facilitate their research and physical copies of books on International Arbitration to all semi-finalists.
The meritorious participants will also be awarded with prizes worth over INR 2,00,000.
As always, the moot would be judged by some of the most renowned names in the arbitration fraternity. As a part of our continuing endeavour to increase the standards of the moot, we will strive to meet an exceptional standard in the hospitality and comfort extended to participants.
A conference on contentious issues of arbitration and a ‘Meet the Practitioners Q&A session’ is also scheduled, besides the social event and valedictory dinner at a 5-star hotel in the heart of Bengaluru, with the aim of facilitating greater interaction between the judges and the participants, and build relations that last beyond the moot.
