Symbhav 2015 is all set to bring the 3rd edition of the flagship legal events under its banner and under the name of illustrious Sr. Adv. Ram Jethmalani! The events will be held as a part of the 3 Day fest at Symbiosis Law School, Pune. The event details are as follows:
A. 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Negotiation Competition 2015
The 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Negotiation Competition 2015 is being organised by Symbiosis Law School, Pune as a part of Symbhav 2015 being organised between February 21-22, 2015.
About the Competition
The long standing association with one of the most celebrated legal luminaries took a huge leap with the inaugural edition of Adv. Ram Jethmalani Legal Events being held for the first time in 2013. Every year three legal events are held i.e. Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Negotiation Competition, Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Moot Court Competition and Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Client Counselling Competition.
These events are held with his support and guidance as an initiative to commemorate the contribution that Adv. Jethmalani has made to the development of Indian jurisprudence and legal fraternity. The flagship legal event, i.e. the Negotiation Competition this year shall work with the specific aim of developing the interest in corporate law practice area amongst the participants.
The adjudication of the rounds shall be done through a panel comprising of some of the most enlightened legal minds of the corporate legal fraternity. The quality of judges shall witness the participation of Associates, Senior Associates, Principal Associates and Partners of the top tier corporate law firms of the country. The Organizing Committee shall also endeavour to invite legal practitioners including sitting Judges of high repute and eminent standing.

Participation in the 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Negotiation Competition is open to Eligible Participants across law institutes in India to constitute Participating Teams or Cross Teams. 3.2 An institutional cap of 1 (one) Participating Team per institute is applicable.
Thus, a total of two Eligible Participants can represent one institute. However, a Cross Team with a third Eligible Participant from the same institute will be considered for participation.
Eligible Participants are requested to constitute Participating Teams and to fulfill all registration formalities by February 14, 2015.
Participating Teams should duly complete the Online Registration Form available HERE and make a Demand Draft for the Registration Fees of Rs. 600 (six hundred only) or pay the same through National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT), the details of which are mentioned in the brochure attached.
A total of 32 Participating Teams to fill out the Online Registration Form and confirm the payment of Registration Fees by sending a scanned copy of the 9 Demand Draft or details of the NEFT payment by February 7, 2015 to firstname.lastname@example.org will be considered for participation in the Competition.

B. 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani Client Counselling Competition 2015
When you think of a lawyer’s skills you think of arguing, maybe even a little convincing. But most people forget counselling. You may ask how do we counsel? The art of counselling comes into play while dealing with clients. They come to you seeking solutions, they want you to solver their problems their way.
Client counselling is the vital skill where a lawyer not only shows the client the legal implications of their actions, but also a solution that pleases all.

If you want to find out, come to Symbhav 2015‘s Adv. Ram Jethmalani Client Counselling Competition and try your skill as a lawyer faced with challenging legal issues and clients to be held from February 20, 2015 to February 22, 2015.

C. 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition 2015
Symbiosis Law School Pune under its annual festival “Symbhav” is organising the 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition 2015, to be held between 20th and 22nd February 2015.
Despite the lure of sports, fine arts and other cultural events, most law students will always hold dear their love for law and its practise. It is for them that Symbhav’s prestigious legal events are organised. One of these events is The 3rd Adv. Ram Jethmalani National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition 2015, it allows law students to put to use what is learnt in the classroom.
In the times of corporate law and “Suits” marathons, some of us still crave thrilling crime based law dramas of John Grisham, Perry Mason and “The Practice”. This moot gives you a chance to explore the field of criminal law, a field in which stalwarts like Adv. Ram Jethmalani practise. Primarily based on the Indian Penal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure, this moot will test your skills at research and also the ability to present innovative arguments for contentious issues.
Students from all recognised Law colleges and Universities, pursuing the 3 year or 5 year LLB programme are eligible for this moot. No Post Graduate Students permitted
Each college may send maximum 2 teams to represent them, consisting of 2 speakers and a researcher. No cross Teams Permitted, No on the Spot Registration permitted.
