Name, College

Niharika, NUSRL Ranchi

Name of Organisation, Location city

Kalinga Kusum Foundation, Bhubaneshwar (online internship).

Application Process with contact details

I applied through Mr KK Siddharth Mohanty. He was rather quick to respond and I was asked to send him a write up on a topic of my choice, which he liked and I was selected for a running online internship.

Duration of internship

February 4th, 2017 to March 18th, 2017

I was in my 3rd year of law school during this internship.Since it was a running online internship, I was majorly given research work. The Organization did keep me on my toes and there was a very smooth communication regarding work and submissions. I was given access to a google doc which I was expected to constantly update as per the work given to me.

During my internship, I was asked to do research work on Manual Scavenging laws pertaining to the state of Odisha and prepare notes, case studies and write articles on the same. My work was very well appreciated and I was encouraged to write more hard hitting articles as the material submitted by me was to be a part of the foundation report which was going to be submitted to the Government of Odisha for policy making.

My internship certificate was posted to me.

I had a good experience with the Foundation and unlike various online internships, it was very smooth without any miscommunications.
