May  – June, 2015

The timings were 10 am.- 5 pm

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On first day we were given organization prospectus to read and was told about objectives and working of organisation.

The office is small and in a backward area.

Main tasks

Mainly we have to take sessions of adolescent girls on various social issues like child marriage, domestic violence, rape, POCSO act etc.

Sometimes we have to do some data entry also.

We also went to field visits of that area.

Work environment and people

The environment there is very friendly. You find children of every age there interacting with them makes your day.

The staffs are mostly women and they treat you very nicely.

Best things

The best thing is that you get an opportunity to help poor children and spread awareness on various social issues.

Bad things

There isn’t enough work and the area is very stinky and in backward area.

No stipend.

Biggest Lessons

The biggest lesson was that there are still many illiterate women and child marriage prevailing in backward areas of India. We should be happy, that fortunately we got so good family background.

Overall Rating

I used to live at my house only in model town.

Office Timings

Office timing was relaxed and it was 10 am – 5 pm.
