Name of the organization. City

I interned at the law firm: Singhania and Partners LLP (Now Rajani Singhania and Partners LLP), New Delhi

Duration of the internship. No. of days/week. Timings

The internship was for 3 weeks during my winter break. Timings were from  9:30 to 6:30

How big was the office? Team strength?

The office was big enough, about 8000 Sq. Ft. The office was clean and hygienic.

It held team strength of 30 lawyers.

Application procedure. Internship contact details

To intern at Rajani, Singhania and Partners, interested students can send their application to

Check the application format on Lawctopus. It is advisable to apply at least 3 months in advance. Follow up may be required.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

I have a house in Delhi. However, PGs in the area of the office are easily available and commute through metro is very feasible.

Paying Gesuts facility in Green Park, Hauz Khas, Safdarjung, etc. would help.

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

Even on the first day the environment was informal and friendly. People are nice but professional.

The work place promotes progressive work ethics.

Main tasks

The main tasks entrusted on me during my internship were preparing contracts, reading, researching. The assignments included typical corporate law work.

The litigation team is strong too. Cases from the competition tribunal were also in plenty. Intellectual Property Rights work was interesting and equally rewarding in terms of knowledge

Work environment, people

People at Rajani, Singhania and Partners are nice and approachable. You get to learn a lot. One has to ask to know about the work and assignments.

Also, if any doubt regarding any work, just ask. Partners are nice to interact with and you can learn a great deal about the after law-school life.

Best things?

Well, nothing is all bad. But here everything was fine, just fine.

There is coffee available in plenty and the work environment is friendly.

Bad things?

At times you need to ask for work and pursue it.

What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues

Delhi is a place for foodies and shoppers.

So, here there is Green Park Market near by and so is copper chimney.  Yum….then if you are staying near by do go to the Moolchands Paranthe- they have awesome food.

Other than these, lots of places to go in Delhi, just ask any localite.

They did not pay.

Anything else you’d like to tell; Biggest lessons

Be prepared to learn and work. It’s a difficult internship if you are lazy since the staff though is lazy would still give you heavy work and not help you much.

Though they would be smiling yet would make you feel inferior. The partners though if you interact with, are well versed with law and are very experienced persons.

Editor’s note: The firm’s name was wrongly put as Raheja, Singhania & Partners. It’s, of course, Rajani, Singhania & Partners. Our sincere apologies for the error. The merger was announced on 21st October, 2013 on Legally India here.

  1. Apparently you didn’t do a good job at all, you don’t even know the name of the firm! It’s Rajani, Singhania & Partners!

  2. Apparently you didn’t do a good job at all, you don’t even know the name of the firm! It’s Rajani, Singhania & Partners! Not Raheja.

    • Hi, we’ve now corrected the name of the firm. Sincere apologies for getting it wrong.

We do not have the band-width to verify the details provided by the intern who’s sharing the internship experience. We depend on the law students to provide as with correct information and share their ‘experience’.

We check only for 2 things: that the internship experience isn’t advertorial or defamatory.

However, yes, in this case, since the firm is pretty popular, we should have known this and made the necessary changes.
