Duration of internship and timings
17th August, 2015 – 28th August, 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On first day all the interns were told to assemble in seminar hall and all our documents were verified by Mr. S K Sudarshan Jain Sir (training head). After that we were given lectures about working of NHRC.
Main tasks
We were given a topic for research paper in groups and were told to submit it along with viva.
We were also given lectures by an IPS officer on Custodial death and Encounter.
Work environment and people
Working Environment of NHRC was very good. One can peacefully work without any hinderance. Our training head Mr. Sudarshan Kumar Jain was a bit strict about timings and disipline which was a good part of any of the internship.
Best things
The best thing I came across was that the working staff of receiving complaints work for 24*7.
Bad things
The canteen of NHRC was not up to the mark. But the canteens of other Commissions nearby were very nice.
Stipend
No stipend
Biggest Lessons
The one and the most important thing we learned was team work and discipline under the guidance of Mr. S K Jain.
Any Other Thing
You have many things apart form internship. You can hang around the Delhi Haat, Sarojini Market, Lodhi Gardens and many more things. That was the wonderful experience on internship.
