First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
There were no such formalities. You are just required to submit the confirmation notification which is sent by the authority itself.
The environment is really chilled out. First day we had our introduction then were inducted in district services.
Main tasks
The main tasks included attending court proceedings in both High Court and District Court and to assist the panel lawyers.
We were also made to attend mediation proceedings and submit a report on that.
Work environment and people
The staff here is really chilled out and one can easily make it out in a day or two.
There are not many interns but that’s a plus point anyways. 😉
The work environment is relaxed and there’s no compulsion as such.
Best things
The Central Jail visit was one of the best experience here.
It’s a highly secured place and once you enter you are awed by the facilities and amenities it has to offer.
Prisoners are really having a good time.
Bad things
Nothing as such.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
It all depends on your will to take up work. The same old rule – “You ask it, you get it”.
Accommodation
Although I am a native of the city so naturally didn’t have accommodation issues but one can easily find PG’s and Hostels in South civil lines area.
Office Timings
Although official timings is the courts’ timings but there’s no compulsion as such. One can inform the superintendent and leave.
