Application process with contact Details
You can apply for the internship by sending your CV on firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
One thing which I liked was their prompt reply to my application. They will also check your writing ability by asking you to write an article which will be published on their blog.
Minimum period of internship is 30 days.
I interned for 4 weeks from 16th June 2014 to 18th July 2014, but you can also apply for longer period. Timings are bit hectic starting from 10 am to 7:30 pm. You can leave after 7 pm if you get over with your days work.
First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure
To be frank i was damn nervous as it was my first internship at such a place but the environment was very friendly and casual which allows you to get settle down very easily.
There are no as such 1st or last day formalities at iPleaders and that`s the best thing about them.
You are not required to be in formals, decent casuals would do but yeah you need to be on time i.e., Sharp 10am.
Infrastructure is comfortable and you can easily get a place for you and your laptop. Office address: 22/3, A-Block, Saket (5 minutes walk from the Saket metro station.)
The main tasks are researching, reading and writing. I did a lot of research on topics I previously had no knowledge about. I mainly worked on new provisions of Companies Act,2013. I got 3-4 articles published on their blog related to real estate, companies act 2013 etc.
I also prepared course materials on various topics of Companies Act, 2013 for their new online course. I also worked on preparing an article on policy making process in India.
I was also asked to work on a long term project of making all the interns profile which will soon be published on iPleaders portal.
Work environment, People
The work environment is really chilled out. I was given ample time to get my work done and was also given a proper feedback after completion of each task, which helped me to modify my work in a proper manner.
Team members are really helpful and they also don`t tap on your heads again and again. You are just required to complete your work in a reasonable time.
Everyone out there are so cooperative that you can even ask for small things in the process of your research or article writing, and you will get all the desired help from them.
Best things are actually not to be told, they are to be experienced so you yourself can go there and experience them.
But still to name some the work environment, food prepared at office (yes, they provide delicious food prepared in office premises at a nominal charge) and if your birthday falls in between your internship period you can also party with the team members. 😛
There are no as such bad things related with internship except i have to travel for one and a half hour to reach Saket from Dwarka.
Knowledge is never complete. Learning and Unlearning are very important part to frame a better future for yourself.
Any Other Thing
I would like to thanks every single person with whom I have been in contact, knowingly or unknowingly during my internship.
They all have played an important role in my career. I enjoyed very exciting phase of life at iPleaders which was full of enjoyment and of course of great learning.
