I applied through the formal internship process through the Training and Placement Cell of college.
Duration of internship and timings
I did my internship there for a period of 1 month, from 3rd June, 2014 to 2nd July, 2014.
Timings were from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
My first day at the office was a very warm-welcoming one.
I was asked about myself and my stay there in an unknown city and was briefed about the people and work to be done.
I was given a separate place to sit and a desk, WiFi connection for my laptop and my Intern Id-Card.
I felt very pleased and satisfied on the first day with the way they welcome their interns and also with the work environment that prevails.
The main tasks were:-
1. Research on given topics:
First day I was given some notices and notifications of Sahara which provided an insight into the kind of organisation it is, its formation and to know about the work that is done.
Next, a book was given to be read which was about Rights and Titles in India and was asked to research on it and make notes of it.
I was also given a topic to research about and give a presentation on it.
I was told how to draft legal agreements, letters, notices, lease deeds and commercial agreements and then was asked to draft on my own.
Major work was drafting the documents and then that draft was checked by y superiors and the mistakes were discussed with me in detail which was the best part as no organisation takes out such quality time out of their curriculum.
Work environment and people
People in Sahara were very helpful, considerate and polite. No one was rude whenever asked any doubt related to any matter concerned with the work or not.
Bhavyata Ma’am, Pallavi Ma’am and Harsh Sir were just like us and never let us feel that we are not a part of the organisation.
They always were very concerned about whether we are having a comfortable environment or not or whether there is any problem.
All were very open and frank even to discuss about personal matters in leisure time and humorous talks always went on along with serious work.
I loved the work environment that prevailed in the office as people were serious about their work and there was a system that was smoothly followed.
We were always explained everything very patiently about whatever work was assigned and doubts made clear.
Some times long discussions took place as well.
There was work to do but the kind of people made it feel as if the loads of work wasn’t much.
Air-conditioned office and lunch provided in the cafeteria.
The office is in the 2nd basement which makes it a place disconnected from the world outside the office.
