First Impression. First day Formalities.

I would like to say that I was mesmerized by this amazing office on my first day. There was no such formalities on the first day but I felt a little nervous.

Next I met one of the Senior Associates and an amazing person Kunal Sachdeva who is a young and dynamic lawyer and a fun person to talk with. He broke the ice between us by cracking some hilarious jokes and then assigned me my table with some work.

In the noon, I got to meet the most humble lawyer I have ever met, Managing Partner Adv. Mohit Chaudhary, who is really a soft spoken person and has time for you if you have thirst to learn. He asked about me and assigned me with some research work.

I got to say this, your internship experience will get better and better with passage of each day in this office.

Main tasks

The  main works assigned to the interns are usually research oriented but in this firm the interns are assigned with each and every work a litigation lawyer does, including drafting (which was my favourite).

This experience was one if its kind where I was assigned to draft an appeal to the High Court in the second week of my internship.

The other tasks included research on subject matters like arbitration matters, civil matters, criminal matters, property disputes etc.

It is pertinent to mention here that if you have any doubts regarding the work assigned to you, Mohit Sir, Kunal Sir or Imran Sir would give you personal attention and answer all your queries. You should not hesitate to ask any question to these humble people.

Another special thing about this office that you get to hear the court proceedings and not just sit in the office.

Mohit Sir puts a special emphasis on attending the court proceedings to make you learn the practicality and ground reality of litigation.

Work environment, people

The work environment of the office was friendly at times. I would to mention specifically about Kunal Sir and Imran Sir, who would always make us laugh even when I was nervous.

Mohit Sir is an efficient leader of this pack and makes a lot of time for the interns and it is ensured by him, that one has an enriching experience out of this internship.

If you are unaware of a particular law he will teach you its application. However, he does expect you to research on it prior to them telling you.

He personally takes a lot of interest in the interns and takes regular feedback from them regarding the work allotted to them. It is ensured that no one sits idle at the firm.

Kunal Sir or Mr. LOUDSHIP, as he is nicknamed, is very friendly and never says no to your genuine applications. He has answers to all your queries and is the person you can go to when you want to leave early (Just Kidding!).

Imran Ali Sir is also a great person with an awesome sense of humour. He can crack jokes even in tense situations and lift up your spirits. It is the quality of this person to make you understand certain matters with his humorous and sarcastic comments.

Apart from these people, I would like to thank, Kushal Sir and other clerks and the office boys who made my internship a hell lot of experience.

P.S- A special magic show was organised especially for the interns by Mohit Sir.(Ah! It makes me nostalgic).

Best things

Interning in a prestigious firm like Kings and Alliance law Firm is in itself a best thing. Apart from this, the work environment and the tasks assigned were the best things about the internship in the firm.

Bad things

There is nothing bad about the place.

Stipend/ month

Depends upon how you work.

Biggest Lesson

There is always a room for mistakes. If you are not making mistakes you are not growing

Also, you must attend the court proceedings to enrich your learning experience.1
