Name of Organisation, Location (city), Team Strength

International Investment and Law Consultants, New Delhi

Application Process

I sent my internship application to

Duration of internship and timings

3rd June to 3rd July, 2014 and timings were 10 am to 6 pm.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The first impression was very opposite to my expectation. The office was lavish and well furnished.

On the first day, I was introduced to associates of the firm, Ms. Anumeha, Ms. Manisha, Mr. Ajay and Mr. Eshan. Mr.Eshan briefed me about the facts of a case he was working upon and asked me to do a research.

I was assigned a separate room after which I was introduced to Senior associate Mr.Yadhuveer.

Lunch was a bit humiliating as I was not known to the trend of lunch and finished of my lunch well before the anyone else without even sharing. Rest all for very good. I was familiar with all of the staff within no time.

Main tasks

My main task was assisting associates in there work be it research or drafting or briefing the case.

Work environment and people

Work environment was very friendly. I was very much inspired by the seriousness of some of the associates particularly Ms.Anumeha and Mr.Ajay towards their work.

Although we always had some light moments during lunch time but overall the professionalism was highly maintained. I never felt like an intern under their guidance as they always treated us as a part of their family.

I was very much in tune with Mr. Eshan and Ms. Manisha as this is area of work and responsibility, I will be facing in near future.

Best things

Best thing was small age gap between associates and interns which made a strong understanding between us.

Bad things

Nothing was bad over there.

Biggest Lessons

Life and work are inseparable but both require adequate time and attention. I learnt how to keep oneself motivated and relaxed even in intense pressure of work.
