The duration of this internship was 30 days i.e. November 15,2017- December 14, 2017.

Timings: 10:00AM- 5:00PM

First impression, first day formalities

On the first day, I was made to pay a visit to the Administration department of the institute, where I was made to fill a form and submit the Bonafide Certificate and Letter of Recommendation from the College.

After this, I was given the login credentials for accessing the Internet and the library and thus allowing me to explore the 4 floor library and the online databases.

Main task

I was basically made to research on different aspects of Constitutional Law, mainly on Freedom of Speech and Expression i.e. Article 19(1)(a). In furtherance to this, I was made to make case notes on cases pertaining to Defamation and Sedition. Other works involved researching the answers for the random questions asked by Dr. Anurag Deep.

The work was allocated and submitted mainly via e-mail.

Work environment and people

The workplace was the ILI Library, which proved for just the perfect workplace. There were small desks provided in the library, which gave you your own space to work in. The people you could find around were the legal professionals, mainly advocates practicing in Supreme Court, which was just opposite to the Institute.

Good things

The prime location of the Institute i.e. opposite to the Apex Court of India, provided you enough opportunities to interact with legal practitioners.

Other good things were the professionalism and the style of making the interns research.

Bad things

No bad things in the internship. Just that the number of interns was very less.

Stipend

No stipend.

Overall Rating

8 out of 10.

Accommodation

I used to travel from my home in Ghaziabad to ILI,Delhi via Metro. The institution is at a walking distance form Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
