Well, I got this internship through a source.
But you can approach the office directly and apply for the internship by submitting an application.
Duration of internship and timings
I interned for 26 days i.e. from 4th May to 29th May.
There were no holiday on Sunday but you can take a break on Friday (which also depends upon the workload).
And since I have already mentioned the workload, you have to sit the whole night if something is assigned to you.
This is not a rule for the internees but there were no such fixed timing of the office.
It depends upon the work pressure.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day of office, I came late and it came to my knowledge that everyone was at court.
So I waited for 3 hours.
After 3 hours, I was asked to approach Mr. Puneet Jain, who confirmed my internship.
He assigned me some case on property law and asked me to make a detailed research.
The office was fully air-conditioned and well furnished.
They had online research database available and also a good library in case you need books to work on.
Main task were to go through the case files and make a researched analysis on them.
I was asked to draft SLPs, written statements and counter statements with the given facts and law.
Work environment and people
When you have got a fully air conditioned office in harsh summers of Delhi, what else you need.
But still we were burdened with work every time.
There were associates who were always happy to help.
Whenever you were over burdened with work you can call for their help.
Other then that, you were given freedom to have number of coffee and tea anytime you want.
This was the first time I have independently drafted Special Leave Petitions and it was an awesome experience.
Delhi’s summer. You can’t face it, unless you have some air conditioning around you.
Any Other Thing
It’s better if you intern in Delhi during winters.
God save those all fellow internees working during summers.
