Greenpeace India, Pune. The Pune team comprised approx 30 employees.
Application process with contact Details
Applying for Greenpeace was not a very difficult task I searched the contact detail from Google and then I was called down for the interview. They take interns all round the year.
7th May 2014 to 25th June 2014. However, they provide internships for a months also and the timings were quiet flexible.
First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure
The Greenpeace office is in a flat its not too small nor too big but the office hardly mattered to me because I was given the job of Fundraising in which I had to give presentations, convince people and ask them for donations. The Fundraising team is divided into the groups of 3 to 4 employees with 2 or 3 interns.
As I already mentioned the job of Fundraising which was basically the main task but as the month of June is celebrated as the Environment Month I also worked in the office for the data entry and other office works.
Work environment, People
Work environment is very friendly interns and the employees are treated equally. Occasionally we were called for team outing.Once the whole Greenpace pune team including the interns went for a movie. So, it was not only a internship full of learning but also a internship full of fun.
The best things working with Greenpeace which one could get is a lot of experience compiled up with a lot of memories. I used to meet a lot of people in the companies and IT Parks.
I got a good expose of public speaking and deal with the aggressions and mood swings of the people. The members of the Greenpeace are very supportive so with that support your confidence in doing anything boosts up automatically.
The only bad thing was the internship being a field job i had to travel a lot but thats not an issue when you are getting paid right in your 1st internship
This was probably the best thing. Yes, its a paid internship its Rs. 200 per day
