Mostly, between 7-9 p.m.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The elegant Mumbai office is located in the ritzy ‘The Capital’, Bandra Kurla Complex- one of the commercially vibrant pockets of Mumbai.

I was introduced to all the people and was assigned a computer-work-desk.

Main tasks

I was exposed to transactions in the field of Private Equity, General Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Banking and Finance which included working on due diligence of private companies, reviewing of articles of association.

At the start of the internship, we were assigned research work on the topics of our interest, wherein I researched and prepared a presentation on latest arbitration ordinance.

Work environment and people

The work environment was quiet professional.

At the same time the office was configured in a way to promote communication and so, we could easily approach the associates who always gently responded in any case of clarification.

Best things

The infrastructure and configuration of the office.

A remarkable legal research and drafting experience in Corporate and Commercial Laws.

Interaction with the associates.

Bad things

Conveyance, if you don’t have a personal vehicle. Getting a cab or an auto might test your patience.

Though you have ‘Starbucks’ and ‘Superior restaurants’ within the building, you can’t find ‘Street Snacks’ nearby as street-side vendors are strictly prohibited in BKC.
