Duration of Internship: 15th May, 2017 to 15th July, 2017
Timings: 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On days when there was more work, I stayed in the office till 8:00-8:30 p.m.
Main Tasks and Experience: The main tasks assigned to me included making notes for legal opinions on varied topics, research for everyday matters and attending court proceedings, researching for and updating a book titled “Agrawal and Baby on SEBI Act” edited by Mr. Amit Agrawal, and making a presentation on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
The experience was a very enriching one as I got to work on various areas of law with a lot of the work related to the Companies Act, 2013 and similar matters. The work not being limited to research kept me interested throughout my internship. Although there were deadlines to be adhered to, the environment at the office was conducive and stress-free.
Good Things: The best part of the internship was that Amit Sir personally attends to the interns on a daily basis and is also very encouraging. The associates were friendly and always ready to guide the interns. The office has a beautiful view and there are lots of good eateries nearby.
Bad Things: None.
Accommodation: Since I was staying in Noida, travelling took time. However, there are accommodation options available in nearby areas which make the office easily accessible.
Stipend for Internship: The stipend depends on the performance of the intern. Interns can be paid as much as Rs. 7,500 per month if they perform well.
