Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength
Adv. Dheeraj Pandey Kapoor, District Court, Kanpur
I went through a personal contact but one can also mail there C.V at email@example.com
Duration of internship and timings
I did it in the semester break from 7-25 July.
I was asked to come at around 10:30 but at times I was late but it doesn’t attracted any scolding for me.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The very first day I was on time but everyone else was before so I lost my opportunity of creating an impression, and later was welcomed which was followed by a general set of questions.
After settling down I was given a seat where I was supposed to do my work.
Taking into consideration that I was a 1st year passed I was not given much of work, I was asked to write applications.
In addition many a times sir dictated the plaint and other documents which I was to write, so by the end I had a clear picture of these drafts.
Work environment and people
They had 4 people in the chamber excluding me, there were 2 councils, a clerk and a peon who did the odd jobs.
But it is worth mentioning that they were very very cooperative, and they always answered my queries in depth.
Got to learn procedures and the actual application of law.
Moreover I got opportunity to witness some great argument by senior lawyers.
Also I had long conversations with sir on various legal matters which was very enriching.
I didn’t felt anything bad as such except the humid environment in and around the chamber.
Patience and Optimism can lead you to success.
Also that the application of law in courts is different from books.
Any Other Thing
Now after completing my internship I can say that 1st & 2nd year students can not have a better place to learn than the district courts.
