The application process is quite simple you just need to send your cv at firstname.lastname@example.org and do write like why you want to intern with them and for which intervention you want to work for don’t forget to mention the dates in which you want to do internship.
Duration of internship and timings
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The workplace was quite calm and everybody was focused in their work I was asked to report to Mr. Allan Anderson program head he made me familiar with the work place and I was enlightened with the organisation structure and its interventions then I was asked to attend a monthly staff meeting and make a report on that.
The time when I joined them they were working on their annual report so they asked me to study and summarize monthly reports to help them in drafting the annual report.
I was also given legal drafts on child rights and domestic workers rights to understand them and help organization in implementing them on their interventions.
I was also the part of a protest done by domestic workers forum. I was also given the task of field work where I was supposed to interview domestic workers and make them aware about their rights.
Work environment and people
My seniors at the work place were very helpful and their hard work and dedication had a positive impact on me.
They lead me through my tasks like a mentor. they taught me work ethics which one requires at a work place. The environment in the head office was optimistic.
Working under Mr. Allan Anderson was the best thing of my internship he is just not a very good senior but a great person with beautiful heart in real life he is a great mentor one could have in their life he exposed me to different perspectives which really helped me to know that we need to know both sides of the coin before coming to any conclusion.
For me its none as I would like to work again with them in future.
The world is not just what we see but requires a different perspective to know the harsh reality.
The stuff on the news or in the newspaper isn’t enough to conclude about an issue. We must know about both the victim’s and the criminal’s point of view. We must dig deep to know the bitter truth.
Also to be a good speaker, first you must be a good listener.
If you are neither a Delhiite nor having a relative in Delhi then finding a pg around the workplace is not difficult as I was a Delhiite so I didn’t go for a pg.
10 am to 5 pm. The timings are quite convenient.
