First Day of my Internship:

As I was initially appointed for Legal drafting, the First day of my internship was about drafting. My mentor trained me to prepare a legal opinion.

He made me sit opposite to his desk and told me to read the file which was delivered by Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank of Fort, Mumbai in respect of granting loan on mortgaged property.

He gave me the information about the documents required for the legal opinion and how to draft it. As I did not have the complete knowledge about the use of Microsoft word, he taught me the basics of Microsoft word.

As I was working I did not recognize that the time had just passed by and suddenly when I looked into the watch it was 9:30 pm.

I was glad that on the very first day he gave me an opportunity to learn drafting a very important document. I completely appreciate him for the kind gesture and realize that I am working with the right mentor. The first day of my job was memorable as it boosted my confidence and capabilities.

Work Details:

We were three interns and all of us left at different time. Our mentor assigned us different documents to be drafted like the Mortgage Deed, Gift Deed, Legal Opinion, Affidavits, Will, petitions, Notices, Replies, and Criminal Complaints etc.

Being an innovative teacher he does not allow us to limit ourselves only to drafting, but he also involves us in to research Work.

To get expert knowledge in subjects like family law and 138 Complaint matters, he asked us to present different aspects of the law like relative cases, sections, judgments, and sections.

He normally visits the high court for matters after which he returns to the office and dictate on various litigation Work.

We all three interns are allotted different issues, litigation and drafting jobs. We also appear in the court. I basically did not visit the court initially, but now I have also started going to different courts.

Work Experience, People:

The Work environment is dynamic. All the seniors working with me are outstanding mentors. The Associates of the firm are like family members. All of us share our research work with one and another, so that each one of us is updated and aware on various aspects of law.

There are 4 computers with internet facility which make the work fast and simple and also comfortable. The environment is very friendly and optimistic.

Adv. Rajesh Tekale is an advocate with multi-faceted skills, Adv. Kanchan Kamble is very welcoming, and shares all the case details with us.

Her experience  teach us how  to handle cases, her expert knowledge about various reference books and advice on varied aspects of law really enlighten us. And there are the sweet juniors who are always ready to imbibe and work hard. Having such a wonderful team who share the same team spirit, I feel blessed.

Best things:

1)    I am great full for the opportunity God has offered me by giving me a mentor like him.

2)    The beautiful ambience of the office, the systematic arrangement of books, the Air condition facilities provided, the evening tea funded by our boss, the colleagues sharing the same team spirit, what else can one expect.

Bad things:

Sir I would not call this a bad thing, but I would be really happy if you could be a better paymaster, because it is difficult.

7500/- per month

Biggest Moral:

By joining you sir, that one thing what I am going to take along is choose your area of interest right in the beginning of your career.

People do not need an advocate who is jack of all trade but master of none, they need an expert; I would surely choose to be an expert rather than a jack. Expertise in special subject will give me experience, royalty, fame, money and most important of all respect.
