Your Name, College, Year of Study, Email ID:
Name of the organization, Location (city), Team strength:
Chambers of Mr. KTS Tulsi, Senior Advocate. Address: 11-B, Jangpura, Mathura Road, New Delhi.
There were about 10 Associates and 15 Interns at the office.
Application process with contact Details:
E-mailing your CV at firstname.lastname@example.org and you usually get a reply within a week or two. But most interns were there through some reference.
Ms. Neha Gupta and Mr. Faraz Khan are the internship coordinators.
I interned for a period of 4 weeks (6 days per week). But there were others interning for more or less time.
The interns were supposed to reach office by 9.30 am. The girls were allowed to leave by 7.30 pm. But the guys had to stay in the office till the work assigned was complete or till Tulsi Sir was in the office.
First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure:
We were asked to report at the office at 9.30 am on the first day.
There is usually an orientation meeting which is conducted by the internship coordinators to help you understand the work and rules in the office.
During lunch, which is the highlight of the day as Tulsi sir, the associates and the interns have it together, the introductions happened.
We were supposed to state our name, college and reason for choosing law as our profession.
The office is on the ground floor and the lower ground floor of the place. It is spacious, air conditioned and the internet works just fine.
We were mainly required to assist the associated on the cases they were handling, prepare notes, attend conferences, do legal research and visit the courts.
Since Mr Tulsi is also an MP (Rajya Sabha), we were given a lot of work relating to Rajya Sabha as well like summarizing reports and helping with the questions to be tabled in the house.
He sometimes assigned work himself.
Also, there used to be weekly moots for the interns on current burning topics given by Tusi Sir himself who used to judge the moot as well.
Work environment, People:
Most of the associates as well the clerks are all very helpful and friendly. The office environment is fun and healthy.
Everybody is dressed in formals except on Saturdays. There is not much to do on this day and you get to leave early.
There were days when we went to court to see Tulsi Sir arguing. It was an amazing experience.
Also, the constant supply of tea and coffee is pretty good.
7500/- for a month.
Humility. Even though Mr. Tulsi is one of the greatest lawyers we have in this country I never saw him raise his voice or get angry.
He is always smiling and treats everybody with warmth and respect.
