Duration of internship and timings
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First day I was asked to introduce myself. Since this was my first internship so one can’t expect me to know each and every aspect in law. First day I was asked to attend court proceedings in Saket court. Sir used to have most of his cases in district courts only so this helped me to gain a huge experience about the working mechanism of district courts in Delhi.
After attending court proceeding, interns had to report at his chambers where we were informed about the next day matters and we had to read case files on the matters which were going to be heard in court next day.Since sir was a criminal attorney, my research was fully based on criminal law. During this internship, I learnt the court procedures.
Attending court procedures.
Research work was totally related to criminal law.
Work environment and people
Work environment was totally chilled out and associates were very friendly.
Totally chilled environment and learnt basic court procedures from the very first internship.
Learnt court procedures and one can achieve what he wants only if he is focused on his target.
I put up in Delhi, so accommodation was not an issue for me. But for those who want accommodation can take a PG or flat in Saket. As the court is at walking distance from Saket.
We were asked to reach chambers by 10.00 A.M and we were allowed to leave by 5.00 in the evening. The timings were relaxed.
