Duration of internship and timings
21st March, 2016- 21st April, 2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
For an evening internship one joins Sir’s Mohali office, it has a very homely feeling to it. You sit down reading cases and listening to propositions of rent law.
Deliberating on the questions of all kinds of law with sir’s juniors is challenging to the brain.
Preparation of a legal document would pass through the intern first.
I was given legal notices to draft were I given the proposition and had to draft one. The notices would be checked and edited.
I was also give contracts to review before wetting.
The strongest point of the team is Rent Law. I was also given a lot of knowledge and guidance about the same.
Work environment and people
The work environment is relaxed.
The people are very accommodating in nature and sure are knowledge hub. You can take home n number of books home from sir’s office, including fiction.
The entire team has a habit of respecting people who read.
The cold coffee served in the office is better than what we get in most food outlets.
The members of the office never let a person go hungry and are very foodie themselves.
The Punjabi might make things difficult for a Non Punjabi speaker. Sir’s juniors also have a habit of speaking in Punjabi. The police reports etc are also in Punjabi.
I learnt for great food one must work hard. I also learnt basics of rent law.
I didn’t need one as my college is nearby.
The timings were 5 to 7 in the evenings and on Saturdays we would attend the court. Sundays were off.
