Duration of internship and timings

15th June, 2016 – 5th July, 2016. Timings – Weekdays 9 am to 1 pm at court. No work on Saturday and Sunday.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The office is on the second floor opposite to State Bank of India. The place was well equipped and provides all the necessary Facilities for the interns. There was a small shelf exclusively for law books and other legal documents and manuscripts. Access to legal websites were also available.

First impression – Just like I thought in my mind. Professional yet supportive. Excellent ambiance. Well maintained and constructed. First day formalities were limited. Only induction and training process happened regarding the procedures and events.

Main tasks

As a first year intern my main work was to know the little but crucial workings of the court and different benches. I Had the opportunity to watch the legal proceedings and hear the arguments raised by the parties. Other task was to research on various legal points, preparing drafts and applications.

Work environment and people

No doubts, the surroundings were totally appropriate for a law student to work. There were so many other legal Advocates, interns from other reputed colleges, and judges. All the faces were new for me but through their enthusiasm and passion towards law made me go through all the challenges. The provided work environment was highly professional and relaxed. The Timings were flexible enough to complete the talk given by the authorities. The friendly and co-operative yet professional attitude of the associates and the ease on availability of resources have created a marvelous impression on me which shall be remembered by me throughout my entire life.

Best things

Got Legal knowledge in very flexible way. The court timings and work environment was flexible and supportive for the task completion. The best thing happened to me was to meet reputed judges advocates and judges and get to know their reasoning power and mooting abilities.

Bad things

No stipend.



Biggest Lessons

As a First year intern, it was a great experience for me. I get to know many legal information and the Access to operate it. I get to know the real workings of the court and the nature of benches. I learned the basic legal ethics and practical facets of law. Basically I start loving the field of law.
