First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The organisation was really supportive. Even though I wasn’t able to report on time due to some last minute formalities of the accommodation, there were no issues from the organisation.

Also, even being an intern just there for a few weeks, I was accepted as a staff member. I was treated like one and also given responsibilities and authorities just like one.

Infrastructure for the purpose of an NGO is quite satisfactory. And there were no formalities kept for the day of joining, all were finished at the time of interview and later on through regular contacts from the organisation.

Main tasks

Attended a workshop on ‘Understanding Masculinity’.

Assisted in developing multimedia communication platform.

Worked on Global Symposium knowledge products like video transcriptions.

Developed communication advocacy platform.

Work environment and people

There is a very healthy work environment. The people are friendly and cooperative. Everyone shares everyone’s work as and when required.

Work is aptly distributed and the interests of the staff are also given importance while allotting work. No one overburdened.

Best things

Everything I found was best to my expectations. Once a member is always a member is the ideology. one of the best possible work environment and colleagues. Understanding authorities. Interesting work culture.

Bad things

Didn’t found any.

Didn’t apply for one.

Biggest Lessons

Team work is the best way to work, though self sufficiency is also required. We should be confident to step ahead for any sort of work we are required to do. This will help you enhance yourself.

We should be ready to take the lead as and when required; but when someone is not being able to do the same, we should step back and motive him/her. This would increase your self confidence and make you a good leader.

Many more things I have learnt about working environment as it was my first work experience and that too the best of my expectations.

Any Other Thing

I would suggest everyone to join such a workplace. Also, I would like to be a part of the organisation for the rest of my life and keep looking forward for any chance to work with it.
