Barakhamba Road, Opposite Modern School
Duration of internship and timings
I have interned there for a month. Although the timings are from 10 am to 5 pm but they are very flexible.
Saturday and Sunday remains off. But sometimes when you have to go to Supreme Court directly , the none has to be very punctual about timings.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Although I have applied through personal contacts but my first day was an interview. I was asked with various questions related to IPC and CRPC. Then all the subjects that I have studied in my first year was informed.
The good thing is that you will be occupied with work all the time. I have been given books to read . The case history which has to be represented next day in the court has to be read carefully and points should be noted down.
I have been shown how to counsel clients. I have been given various bail applications as well to study.
Work environment and people
Work environment was very nice. As there was no other intern at that time, so I was enjoying the work and play fully. During the lunch break, we use to talk about the current topics and how the proceedings in the court went.
Best thing is that you get to visit Supreme Court and high court and can listen to great personalities. I have got a one month pass for Supreme Court except on miscellaneous days.
Sometimes the work is too monotonous and boring. But nothing is too bad as whenever you feel bored you can visit CP in lunch hours
As it was my first internship , I have learned how to manage time and work. It was really a learning experience with a very healthy and energetic environment.
