The Central Law College, Salem is organising a National Conference on Contemporary ADR System, Constraints and Strategies on September 29-30 and invites papers.
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) system is an alternative method of solving disputes between the parties through an impartial manner without having resource to courts. Traditionally the pivotal role of settling disputes within the area of judiciary.
Today ADR has received world wide recognition with other methods like Lok Adalat and others under Legal Services Authorities act 1987, online ADR mechanisms for settlement of disputed in a speedy and amicable manner and ODR in E-commerce disputes.
Globalization and Liberalization of trade have resulted impact on many legal rights urging to widen the scope further as well as render it viable.
ADR is subjected to many challenges in terms of practice. the lawyers and Litigants are hesitant to choose due to skepticism about the efficacy of ADR. As society is dynamic and to protect their interest is a prime necessary. This urges to check the current practice of ADR and Re-addressal for new areas.

Well researched original papers from the given sub-themes are awaited for the conference from the Faculty members, Research Scholars and students of law, Sociology, Psychology, Engineering, Commerce, Management etc., Advocates, Engineers and Professionals.
