  1. Which Law prohibits a person (whether natural or juristic) to run more than one journal? Also, who says all the above journals are run by the same person? :O

    • Of course no law prohibits it. I never claimed so. I merely claimed it to be interesting.
Going by your structuring and choice of username, however, I guess I’ve poked where it hurts. Worry not though, for I make no moral judgments – I was merely pointing something out.
And what suggests that they’re run by the same person? The same contact details.

Good luck with whatever you guys are doing though. These journals clearly so not help in any academic advancement, but do make a good business. As a fellow entrepreneur, I’d say good job. But then as a wannabe scholar, I’d have my reservations. Regardless, take no offense.

      • Are so seriously so illogical? I really don’t understand how people like you can draw such amateurish inferences? Just because the contact details are same, ‘fellow entrepreneur’ like you can interpret that all journals are run by the same 😀 😀 can’t all these journals employ the same person as its public relation officer? (A small piece of advise, name of publisher is depicted on the assignment letter issued by ISSN (I hope, you know what ISSN authority is) BTW, thanks for telling that you are one of the competitors of IJLR. Keep the criticism coming in! As long as they are able to serve the purpose behind their establishment (funding education of someone), what critics like you say wouldn’t really matter to them. I have seen copies of these journals in firms like Amarchand Mangaldas; also, the journal is read by around 1000 people per month from the length and breadth of the PLANET. This itself speaks about the repute. Better for IJLR folks that ‘scholars’ like you have your own reservations! 😛 All the best!

        • I’m not surprised. The ad hominems will get you nothing.
Speaking of amateurish inferences, I didn’t say I’m a competitor of IJLR. I said I’m an entrepreneur.
Taking offence over criticism is juvenile, I’d say. I had tried my best at giving a non-offensive, positive criticism. Way to go!
Writing ‘planet’ in capitals would not change the fact that circulation is merely thousand people. That too, unverified. But of course, thousand people speaks for ‘repute’. kek. (Like, seriously, dude?)

Your offence is completely misplaced. I never said what you’re doing is bad. I really appreciate that you’re funding your education with this. I was merely pointing stuff out. But clearly, PR is not your strong field.

Regardless, Mr. Jaiswal, you lost all respect I had for you (used to follow your posts over at LegallyIndia). While it is appreciable that your efforts are aimed at funding your education, implying that the other party is inferior to you (“I hope, you know what ISSN authority is” – of course I freaking know, I spend half my time over at HeinOnline and Jstor) is plain juvenile and unprofessional. Given that your journal(s) actually stand nowhere and have poor quality content, it is quite ballsy for you to be typing away in such a tone.

PS: It doesn’t take a genius to really understand that if various journals have same contact details and bank accounts in the same branch of the same bank, it’s run by the same people.

PPS: Your ad hominems have left me kinda disturbed. I guess I should fire back: I really judge DSNLU now if *this* is the quality of students it produces. But then, I don’t think anyone would be surprised by that. Paradoxes are funny, laugh away at this one.

  2. Seems to be a lucrative business. Legal Mirror, Legal Messenger, International Journal for Socio-Legal Research – all run by the same person charging the same amount. Interesting…
