Call for Papers: Conference on Digitization of The Indian Legal System [Nov 9]: Submit by Sept 24


India’s growth, both in the economic and social sphere can mainly be attributed to the advent of the IT Industry and other technological advancement. While, considerable enhancements have been made in the existing legal system, scope for further enhancement still exists.

With a view to stimulate and brainstorm in order to create a  dynamic, vibrant and balanced Legal system in India which takes support from Digital Infrastructure, in association with IndiaStack is organizing a Conference on Digitization of the Indian Legal System on 9th November, 2016 in Bengaluru.

In view of the aforesaid, we hereby request Legal researchers, academicians, advocates, legal experts and students to submit research papers on “Digitization of Notary in India”. The authors of the best two papers will be awarded.

Submission Guidelines

Formatting Guidelines:

  1. The Research Paper should be typed on A4 size sheets in Times New Roman with font size 12, double spacing and one Inch margin on each side.

  2. The Footnotes should be in Times New Roman with font size 10 and Single Spacing.

  3. The headings should be typed in Times New Roman with font size 14.

  4. The authors are requested to follow the Blue Book Method of Citation,19th Edition.


The author shall not indulge in Plagiarism. Plagiarism is the act of appropriating the literary composition of another, or parts or passages of another’s writings, or the ideas or language of another, and passing them off as the product of one’s own mind, either through exact duplication of another’s work or by lifting substantial portions without giving due credit.

Word Limit

  1. Upper word count for your Abstract shall be around 300 words.

  2. Upper word count for the Research paper shall be 5,000 words.

Evaluation of Papers

All papers received in connection with the event shall be evaluated by a panel of legal experts. The decision of the panel shall be binding and unbiased.

  • Cash Prize of Rs. 25,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- for papers adjudged first and second, respectively.

  • Publication of 2 selected Papers in the Conference Proceeding and in the form of an e-book.
