Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies cordially invites Law Students to submit their Research Papers for the National Seminar on Migration and Regional Development in India.
About the Seminar
Migration is the movement of people to a new location within the country or to another country in order to find work or better living conditions with intentions of settling temporarily or permanently. The process of migration impacts the welfare of a household, a home community and finally the development of the whole region in various ways. It can have both positive and negative consequences.
The 2nd National Seminar to be hosted by Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies aims to discuss the various dimensions involving the social, cultural, economical and political implications of domestic and international migrations in India and its impact on development.

Inter-State Migration and Regional Disparities
Migration and Urban Transition in India
Impact of Migration on the Fiscal Policy of India
Judicial response on Illegal Migration and Deportation : A Case Study
Note:The above sub-themes are illustrative and any other relevant paper in accordance to the main theme of the seminar may be accepted.
The Registration fee is Rupees 500/- per person per paper. The registration fee needs to be remitted in the form of Demand Draft payable to “The Principal, Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies.” or through NEFT. The NEFT Transaction details are given below.
The participants are required to fill the NEFT/DD details in the Registration Form and also attach a scanned copy of the DD/ NEFT Acknowledgement along with the Abstract and Registration Form through e-mail only.
Hard copy of DD/NEFT Acknowledgment is to be sent along with the Hard copy of the final paper.
