The internship was from 3rd of January, 2018 to 23rd of January, 2018. And the timing was from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

How to apply

It was to start our end semester examination when I got about the news of winter internship at BSLSA. I mailed my CV. I was taken aback to see my name selected for the internship as my CV was not very good. My name was at 2nd position of 1st list.

First day impressions

First day was our introductory class. Kunal sir gave us the information about the organisation BSLSA, about its working, about its scheme and much more.

Main Tasks

There was a schedule for us to visit APNA GHAR, Beur jail, Civil Court and some more places on different days of the internship. It was an excellent experience. At APNA GHAR we were got an opportunity to interact with children. APNA GHAR is a place where those children (only boys) below the age of 18 years are kept who are run away from home, child labour and so on.

There used to be a very interactive class. Students were given different topics to give presentations. I got “Juvenile Justice Board”. I prepared it well and gave a beautiful presentation in front of the whole class.  Everyday, a different person used to take our class.

On 24th of January we all got our certificates by honorable judge of Patna High Court. The Honorable Judge gave a very short speech which was worth a million dollars! Every line spoken by him was too appreciating and inspiring & motivating.

I learnt a lot of things at BSLSA which is not probably possible for one to learn in classroom.

The thing which I learned the best apart from legal field is how to catch a train! This is because I used to do daily up and down from Buxar to Patna (covering a distance of 236 KM daily!).
