Things to keep in Mind

Do not send an en masse application because it will reflect very easily and end up in rejection. Rest assured, you’ll have a great time.

Flexible. Work from home so work at your own leisure. However reporting is done on a daily basis so time has to be devoted every day.

Main Tasks

You’ll be assigned work by M/s Megha. Majority of my work pertained to writing news articles in own words to be published on the website.

The best part of this internship was that I got to read a lot of news and to re-write it in my own words and being a non-follower of news, I inculcated the habit of reading news daily. I looked forward to what news article would come next as my work. I would also follow news and anticipate if any article that I am reading would be assigned to me or not.

Megha ma’am is really approachable and available on whatsapp. She would answer to queries as soon as she could and would also inform about when she will be available in case she was otherwise occupied.

It was very rewarding that my research work was taken into account, and was published on the website. There was constructive criticism but none that was insulting, it only aspired me to work better and better. Also, she took the efforts to actually appreciate my work whenever it was worth it, which again boosted my confidence.

Make sure that you keep her updated about your work and hurdles that you’re facing.

Work Experience

I loved the internship, every bit of it. Apart from being online internship, I really felt that I could have done some constructive work had I been a full time intern. There could have been a lot more to learn.

Being a work from home, in the first two or three days, I took it casually, but as I developed interest, I started working on my task as soon as I was assigned leaving all the other things that could have kept me occupied. Finishing the task was my priority one after the first week of the internship.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for more than just a name tag. You’ll feel happy and motivated all throughout your internship and that’s not experience that everyone gains. If nothing, this internship will instill your interest in content writing and bring out the legal journalist in you.
