Application Process with contact details
I applied at Anand and Anand in the month of march at email@example.com for the month of June.
Sangeeta Sharma is the HR and she handles the internships. I received a call from her within two weeks and she spoke about the desired dates.
Duration of Internship and timings
June 1st, 2016 – 30th June, 2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day were asked to sit in the library which was a fancy one and Sangeeta ma’am told us about the functioning of the firm.
We were also asked to sign a NDA stating that we would not disclose any case related information outside not take any case files with us.
Then we were taken to the intern room by a co intern who was interning there since two weeks and also got our personal tap in cards made for printing documents linked with out computers.
Every intern had a personal computer and extra laptops were arranged if there were extra interns.
Each intern was divided among different departments. I was in the patent department since I had a science background. The office of the patent department was a really pretty office designed by one of their associates.
Since there was less work in this department I was also assigned work by the litigation department.
Extensive research work, briefing seniors and drafting documents were the main tasks.
Work environment and people
The work environment is really nice and Ms. Sangeeta Sharma ma’am is very sweet. We had to report to her everyday at 6 pm so that we could inform her about the work we were doing and by whom was it given.
It is easy to talk to anybody working in the firm and the associates were kind to help us during different tasks. I got to meet Mr. Pravin Anand only once though.
There was a canteen with proper home food for Rs. 40 and Wednesday was free lunch.
We were supposed to wear formals everyday and casuals on Fridays.
Too much work on somedays!
Punctuality is the best policy :D. Also, it is very important to network along with work.
I reside in Delhi and used to commute by car. If you’re not a Delhite, you can find PGs in Noida near Amity University.
They were strict about the timings and we had to sign in at the gate when we entered and left.
Reporting time was 9:30 am and Sangeeta ma’am checked the register time and again and questioned if the interns came in late.
We were allowed to leave at 6:30 pm but were asked to stay back if there was some important work. Cab was available post 6:30 till the metro station and after 8 pm till your house. Weekends were off.
