First impression & infrastructure
The impression that you get when you enter the basement office of the firm is that this firm believes in functionality and discipline. There aren’t many exaggerated formalities on the first day and you will be introduced to all the associates and asked to choose the field of work you’d like to learn/work on.
The firm will teach you how to work with a team. All the Associates work as a cohesive unit and are happy to offer help even if you ask a 100 questions. Trust me, I can make anyone run out of their patience with my questions and doubts but every doubt that I had were answered patiently and clearly.
I was assigned under Adv. Sushant Chaturvedi Sir and most of the work assigned to me was related to anti-dumping laws. Sir gave me the option to choose the work that I would like to learn. We had extensive brain storming sessions and my ideas and views were respected.
I also had the liberty to take work from other Associates once I finished my assigned tasks. There is no bar on the amount of work you desire to take as long as you show commitment and discipline. The quality of work you get depends on your zeal to work.
I was also working on the Ad-cap case and my ideas were duly considered by the Associates.
The firm gave me the creative freedom to approach the case and did not distinguish between Associates and Interns. Every one is treated with equal respect and dignity, a quality a lot of firms lack these days.
I knowledge on anti dumping laws that I gathered during my tenure in this firm helped me in writing my first publication.
Best thing: Your Efforts and Hard work do not go unnoticed.
