School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru is proud to announce and invite your deemed Institution/ University/ College to the 3rd National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition, 2018. 

After two successful editions, we bring to you the much awaited 3rd National Trial Advocacy and Judgement Writing Competition, 2018. On behalf of the Advance Criminal Law Studies Committee of School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University), we are proud to host the 3rd Edition of the National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition from 9th of February, 2018 to the 11th of February, 2018.

Come, be a part of our court room drama, showcase your art of advocacy and examination skills, and hone your skills to be the sharpest in the legal profession!

Registration Process, Forms and Trial Problem

The teams shall consist of three members, i.e., two Speakers (Advocates) and one Witness/ Researcher.

The teams will be registered on the first come first serve basis. Only 24 teams will be selected on the same criteria to participate at the Oral Rounds from 9th to 11th February, 2018.

There shall be two preliminary rounds, followed by the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and the Grand Finale.

The provisional registration is declared open. The Institution/ University/ College is requested to send an E-Mail regarding the same.

The registration forms, registration fees, travel detail forms shall be uploaded shortly. The Problem of this Competition, along with the detailed Rules of the Competition will be updated in the next communication.


The following are the prizes awarded to the Winners under various categories as mentioned below:

1) Winners of the 3rd National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition, 2018 – Rs. 50,000 /-

2) Runner-Up of the 3rd National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition, 2018 – Rs. 30,000 /- 

3) Best Advocate – Rs. 10,000 /- 

4) Best JudgmentRs. 5,000 /-
